Brent Pittman, Concert Band Clinician from Saskatoon, SK 

Brent is currently retired having spent 37 years of teaching in the music room.He has worked for two different school divisions: Arcola School Division from 1986-1989 and Saskatoon Public School Division from1989 to June 2023. During his 34 years with the SPSD Brent has taught in thirteen elementary schools and two High schools (Walter Murray Collegiate and Aden Bowman Collegiate). During university Brent received the R.J. Staples award at the U of S ( based on academic achievement and the student’s contribution in performing areas and groups within the Department of Music.), and in 2014 received the Saskatchewan Band Association Distinguished Band Directors award (Recognition of outstanding contribution to band, strong musical leadership and constant promotion of musical excellence) He has performed with several community groups over the years and has been a guest conductor and clinician throughout Saskatchewan, SBA summer camps, Alberta International Band Festival in Calgary and SMC conferences. He directed the Junior Summer Band Camp for five years in Saskatoon during the late 90’s. And is currently the Coordinator for the Junior North Provincial Honour Band.
