Chad Huel, Jazz Bands, Regina Catholic School Division 

Chad graduated with a B.Mus.Ed from the University of Regina in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada in 2000. Chad taught the Regina Lions Band from 1993-2003. This was an extra-curricular type of organization which provided opportunities such as Concert Band, Jazz Band, Winter Drumline, Winter Color Guard, and Marching Band.

Chad is in his 24rd year of teaching. He is in his 9th year with Regina Catholic Schools and Band Director at LeBoldus Catholic High School. Chad is the former band director at Winston Knoll High School and surrounding elementary schools in Regina, 10 years previous to this. Chad has been a clinician throughout Regina and Saskatchewan for many years.

Under his direction, his bands consistently receive superior ratings at festivals such as the Downtowners Optimist Band Festival and the Moose Jaw Band and Choral Festival. Chad is the Past-President of the Saskatchewan Band Association and he also sits on numerous other committees including the Optimist Band Festival Committee and the Prairielands Jazz Camp committee. He is in his 6th year teaching at the University of Regina, directing Jazz 2. Chad is currently pursuing his Masters in Conducting Degree from the University of Regina.
